NOTE: CRS has extremely limited visitor parking. In order to enure the safety of all students, staff and visitors, we continue to encourage all bus-eligible students to ride the bus to and from school. We also urge you NOT to park in such a way that it blocks another vehicle from getting in and out of the school.

Arrival Procedures

STUDENTS SHOULD NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 8:25AM

By Car: Parents driving students to school (K-4) should enter the circle at the Main Building entrance and proceed along the curb in the ‘drop off zone’. You will be directed by staff to stop and let children out of the vehicle (parents may not exit the vehicle in the drop off zone). Cars will continue around the circle and exit out and up to Heatherdell.

If you need to escort your student into the building for any reason, you will need to park in a legal parking space and bring your child to the Greeter’s desk inside the main entrance.

By Bus: Our buses proceed down the entry drive and into the bus lot outside our cafeteria. Students in K-1 are escorted into the cafeteria where they wait with their classes for teachers to bring them to classrooms. Students in grades 2-4 proceed directly to their classrooms. Staff is stationed throughout the hallways to direct and supervise student arrival.

Late Arrival Procedures (Students arriving after 8:40)

All students (K - 4) should enter through the Main Building and sign in at the Greeter’s desk.

There is no admittance via the Primary Wing Entrance during the school day. Only our Main Entrance is accessible to visitors.

Grades K - 1. Our younger students (K - 1) will be escorted by an aide from the primary wing to their classroom/special.

Grades 2 - 4. Our Greeter will complete a late pass for your child. Your child will proceed directly to their classroom/special, unescorted. (The Greeter will have a master list of class specials).

In all cases, our Health Office is notified of late arrivals. This information will appear on your child’s attendance record and report card.

Dismissal Procedures

By Car:

Grades K - 1 Students:

  • 2:50PM on M, T, Th, F
  • 2:20PM on Wed. at the Bus Lot (see map)

Primary Walker parents picking up K-1 students by car need to arrive in our Bus Lot (see map). You will be directed to park your car and get out to meet your student at the entrance to the Primary Wing. An adult will be there to supervise the dismissal and be certain each student meets with the appropriate adult.

Grades 2 - 4 Students:

  • 3:10 on M, T, Th, F
  • 2:40 on Wed., at the Main Entrance.

Main Building Walker parents picking up students by car should arrive and park legally. You MAY NOT park against the curbing of the building as this is an Emergency Zone. If you must double park, you should be prepared to return to your car and leave immediately following pick-up.

By Bus:

Students are brought to the gym by their classroom teacher. They proceed to their bus line where attendance is taken by a school aide. As buses arrive, our students board the bus and are dismissed from the school grounds.
