Each grade will have the opportunity to go on at least one field trip per year. In most cases, the trips are planned to support grade level curriculum and serve as enrichment. Prior to a field trip parents/guardians will receive information regarding the trip and a permission slip. The permission slip must be signed and returned to your child’s teacher in order for your child to attend the trip. There is usually a cost associated with each field trip. If the cost of a trip creates a financial burden to your family, financial aid is often available. For questions regarding financial aid please contact your child’s teacher.

Most field trips require chaperones. Parents can usually volunteer to chaperone a trip. Depending on the trip, though, there may be more volunteers than there are spaces available.
