The Parent-School Partnership
The school agrees...
The parent/guardian agrees...
     
  • to demonstrate its commitment to shared decision making by actively involving parents in the educational process through participation in or communication with our PPLT
  • to provide high quality curriculum, instruction and enrichment in a caring and tolerant school environment
  • to promote communication between the school and parents through: parent teacher conferences, school and grade level newsletters, progress reports as needed, opportunities for parents to volunteer and classroom visits
  • to keep parents informed about all programs that are available
  • to demonstrate a commitment to shared decision making through involvement in or communicating with our PPLT team.
  • to monitor and foster the child’s: attendance and punctuality, homework, appropriate school behavior and daily reading
  • to provide structure and assistance for the child when doing homework
  • to work with the classroom teacher to improve student achievement
  • to be an active participant in a parent/teacher alliance for the benefit of the child
  • to communicate directly with the teacher about any educational or social concerns that the parent has
  • to use support services that are recommended by school personnel
  • to become involved in school events as well as PTA functions, whenever possible
  • to support you child’s literacy by reading to or with your child each day
