Birthdays

Please check with your child’s teacher in advance of a birthday as to the teacher’s policy on birthday celebrations. If you would like to send in a birthday snack, speak with your child’s teacher several days in advance regarding classroom procedures. Please do not send candles with the birthday snack since it is against school policy to have lit candles in any classroom.

If you plan to have a party for your child outside of school, please do not send invitations to school unless all students are invited. In addition, party favors and gifts are not to be distributed at school.

Holidays

Halloween Parade

This is an occasion for the entire school to celebrate. Children march in costume around the field while parents and visitors cheer the children on--and take pictures!

International Celebration

Beginning 2006, the Concord Road School is planning a school-wide celebration of the diverse cultures that are represented by students in our school. The event will take place in December.

End of the Year Celebrations

Each grade has its own special, traditional way of celebrating the end of the school year. Parents and children will be notified by classroom teachers several weeks in advance of the upcoming celebration.
