The Annual Ardsley Board of Education Budget Vote and Election will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the High School Cafeteria. Community residents will be asked to vote on two propositions, the first of which is the annual operating budget for 2008/09. Proposition 2 is a capital project utilizing reserve funds to renovate the high school cafeteria serving area at no additional cost to district residents. Two Board seats will be up for election, each with a three-year term of office, beginning July 1, 2008. Candidates must be United States citizens, 18 years of age or more and residents of Ardsley for at least one year. Petitions are available from Barbara Koppel, District Clerk, at 500 Farm Road. They must be signed by 29 qualified voters and returned by April 21st.

Qualified voters new to Ardsley, or those who are not registered to vote in general elections, may register any weekday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the District Clerk's office. A special registration day is set for Monday, May 12th, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. A resident who has moved within Ardsley during the last year may also change his/her voting address at these times. The last date to register for the Budget Vote/Annual Election to be held on May 20th is May 15th.
