World Down Syndrome Day & Autism Awareness Day
As a community that values inclusivity, understanding, and support for all its members, we are excited to announce our participation in two important awareness days this month and next. These days are dedicated to raising awareness and showing support for individuals with Down syndrome and Autism.
World Down Syndrome Day - Thursday, March 21st
To celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, we are encouraging our students to wear Mismatched Socks on Thursday, March 21st. Wearing mismatched socks is a symbolic gesture to show support and bring awareness to children with Down Syndrome, promoting a message of acceptance and love.
Autism Awareness Day - Tuesday, April 2nd
On this day, we ask our students to wear blue to show solidarity and support for those on the Autism spectrum. Wearing blue is a global sign of understanding and acceptance for people with autism.
Engaging in conversations at home about the significance of these days can also reinforce the values of empathy and inclusivity. Thank you in advance for your participation and support.

Summer Learning Academy 2024
All learners exiting grades K-4 are welcome to join our Summer Learning Academy. The goal is to provide ongoing academic support in a relaxed and nurturing environment, and to limit the effects of summer slide. Research has shown that young students need ongoing instruction over the summer to maintain/increase their academic skills. Time will be devoted to math, reading and writing instruction. Enrollment will be limited to eight students per class to allow for small group instruction.
The program will run from Monday, July 1st through Friday, July 19th from 7:45 a.m - 11:15 a.m. We will be closed on Thursday, July 4th to observe the holiday. If your child is attending Ardsley Day Camp, there will be a bus to transport students from CRS to Ardsley Day Camp.
If you are interested, please complete the Summer Learning Academy Registration.

Reporting An Absence
If your child is going to be absent from school, please remember to email or call the Health Office. Please indicate your child's name, teacher name and reason for their absence. The email address is crsattendance@ardsleyschools.org and the phone number is 914-231-0892.
Doing this will alleviate the Health Office from having to contact you about your child's absence.
Thank you.

Important Arrival Procedures
If you are driving your child to school, YOU MUST drop off at the lower bus lot. DO NOT PARK IN EMPLOYEE PARKING SPOTS AND WALK YOUR CHILD TO THE MAIN ENTRANCE. This is a safety issue. Please follow the instructions from our staff when dropping your child off in the lower bus lot.
Some reminders for drop off in the lower bus lot:
-
Kindergarten and Grade 1 students arriving by car should exit their vehicles on their own and enter through the primary entrance.
