Mr. Sheridan

Greetings 4th Grade Families! I am thrilled to begin my ninth year here at CRS and can't wait to meet you!

We are going to have a fantastic year in fourth grade as we build upon all our hard work from K-3 and reach new heights in our last year at Concord Road. Throughout the year we will be working hard to develop strong critical thinkers, active readers, powerful writers, and curious mathematicians. In addition to taking ownership of our indpendent learning we will be focusing on collaboration with peers as we collectively discuss, solve, and create solutions to the challenges of the fourth grade curriculum and world at large. 

Our classroom is a laboratory of curiosity because a questioning mind is a productive one. It is a safe space where we are going to encourage student driven ideas and questions about the world they live in. We will celebrate our mistakes and discover learning opportunities in wrong answers. We will discover "The Power of Yet" and find ways to push past "I don't know." Our students will build each other up and take ownership of our vibrant classroom culture we create. 

I cannot wait to lead this class on the fantastic journey that is fourth grade.
