  • Science Research Needs Practice Judges

On Thursday, March 1st  from 7:45-9:00 the Ardsley High School Science Research class will host a practice session for the upcoming WESEF competition.  We need community volunteers with backgrounds in biology, engineering, behavior or computer science to act as judges to help prepare the students for the competition.  Students will present their research projects in poster format.  You do not need previous experience to participate.  Rubrics and instructions will be provided that evening.   The students benefit from presenting their research to both scientists and parents.  We are hoping you will challenge them with new questions and provide feedback on their presentation skills.  The practice session will take place in the HS commons and cafeteria.

WESEF (Westchester Science and Engineering Fair) is a local science fair sponsored by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.   Hosted by Sleepy Hollow High school, over 500 young scientists from Westchester & Putnam counties will participate for a chance to attend the Intel International Science Fair, Genius Olympiad and other local prizes.  Please use the link below to register or contact devangelista@ardsleyschools.org.
