• Ardsley Curriculum Corner

Welcome to the Ardsley Curriculum Corner. On this site, you will find details of our programs by subject area and by school. In every area, our curriculum and our teachers are supporting a developmental progression of student learning, moving students from where they are in their individual abilities towards greater levels of engagement, achievement, and empowerment.

Our goal is to provide you with a better understanding of the individual curriculum streams and the many pathways students may take to achieve their full potential as learners. Better communication will strengthen our school-community partnership and result in enhanced learning for our students.

Starting in January 2020 for our initial introduction of this website we address two topics.  This work was paused due to COVID and will resume as we move forward.

    • K-12 Guidance and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Programs - Our view of success reaches beyond academic performance and we believe that being well is as important as doing well. Our focus has been on delivering developmentally-appropriate SEL and Guidance programs, as well as student services, to ensure that all students have access to the skills and resources they need to keep themselves safe, respond to social problems, make sound decisions and regulate their own behavior and feelings. At the heart of all our work we are encouraging self-awareness and self-advocacy.

    • K-4 Elementary Math  - We continue to follow the latest research in developing and evolving our curriculum. Of special note this year is the advances we have made in our K-4 math programs. Our goal is to ensure that students leave CRS with a foundation of mathematical practices and habits which enable them to be advanced problem solvers.
