• Human Physiology is a semester-long course designed to go in depth on human structure and function.  The body is a complex machine that relies on the interaction of different systems to maintain proper functioning, balance and health. In this course we will study the various systems and examine current issues in health and medicine as they relate to human physiology. 

    Students will have completed Living Environment and this course will touch on topics/concepts that were covered in that class but more in depth. 

    Topics will include:

    • Basics organization and chemistry
    • Nutrition
    • Locomotion (Skeletal and Muscular)
    • Respiration
    • Circulation and Transport
    • Excretion
    • Regulatory Systems
    • Reproduction
