7th grader Shrikar Patnaik Wins American's Field Trip Contest

AMS 7th-grader, Shrikar Patnaik recently applied for the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission's "America's Field Trip Contest", a part of America's 250th-year celebration.

The contest's theme, "What Does America Mean to Me?" inspired Shrikar and his family to visit the Statue of Liberty and film himself explaining what this country signifies to them. Shrikar was selected as a First Prize Awardee for his outstanding submission and won a 3-day, 2-night trip to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming! Congratulations to Shrikar!
