Technology Team Completes Key District-Wide Projects
This summer, the Technology Department completed several key projects under the leadership of Sabrina Rich and her team that enhanced the learning experience for students and improved technology access across the district. This included the installation of 15 new interactive SmartBoard and BenQ displays, unboxing and enrolling 600 Touch Chromebooks for AMS, upgrading carts in all 3rd and 4th-grade classrooms to support Computer-Based Testing, and installing a new projection system in the CRS gymnasium.
The team ensured that all classroom technology was ready for use, verifying the functionality of peripherals such as webcams, printers, and document cameras. New devices were also set up for the Art and Computer Science classes in the high school, while the elementary Science program received new iPads.
In addition, Sabrina Rich and Erin Newton led training sessions to help new teachers navigate all aspects of school technology, ensuring they are well-equipped for the upcoming school year. The district has also upgraded to Google Workspace Plus EDU, further improving the resources available to both staff and students.
Looking ahead, the fall will bring even more tech improvements, including the installation of new access points at the middle school.
