The Wellness Center: A Sanctuary for Student Growth and Well-Being

The Wellness Center at Ardsley High School embodies the school’s dedication to creating a supportive, inclusive, and health-conscious environment for its students. The grand opening on January 3, 2025, revealed the center as a haven for stress management, health education, and meaningful social connections.

At the district level, we have two major initiatives in support of wellness promotion: Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and our newly formed District Wellness Committee.

The MTSS approach recognizes that students do not all start in the same place or learn at the same rate. By intervening early and often, the MTSS approach ensures that small gaps do not become insurmountable and that gaps and moments of struggle are supported fully.

Our district is committed to fostering a learning environment that embraces diversity, promotes equity, and celebrates the unique identities of all our students. We are proud to align ourselves with the New York State Education Department's (NYSED) Culturally Responsive-Sustaining (CR-S) Education Framework, a powerful vision for creating student-centered spaces that empower every child to thrive.

The Ardsley Science Research Program (ASRP) is a student-centered research program that encourages individual and group scientific inquiry beginning sophomore year. ASRP provides high school students with the structure and support they need to explore original research at a very high level in a topic of their interest.
