BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Ardsley Board of Education is composed of five members, each elected by residents of the district for a three-year term. The Board is responsible for setting the vision and goals of the school district as well as adopting policies that govern our schools.

  • Establishing goals and planning the district’s future
  • Hiring and evaluating the Superintendent
  • Reviewing and supporting instructional program
  • Developing and monitoring the budget
  • Ratifying personnel decisions and collective bargaining agreements
  • Overseeing district facilities and operations
  • Maintaining effective community engagement
  • Hearing appeals related to Board policies
  • Communicating with public officials at the village, town, county, state, and federal levels.
