Annual School Budget & Election

Dear Ardsley Community Members,

As this school year concludes, we want to highlight our collective commitment to our district's mission. We challenge minds through rigorous academics, evidenced by our award-winning Science Research program and 98% graduation rate. We inspire excellence through our extracurricular offerings, demonstrated by Ardsley High School DECA Club award winners and the state champion girls basketball team. We build character through enrichment programs, service activities and cultural celebrations across all three schools.

This year, we welcomed Dr. Matt Block as our new Superintendent, along with new administrators at Concord Road School (Principal Dr. Vidya Bhat) and Ardsley High School (Assistant Principal Brendan Granstrand). We've broken ground on our multi-year capital project, which received strong community support last year. And we celebrated 14 newly tenured faculty members.

The proposed 2025–2026 school budget reflects our continued commitment to Ardsley students. It maintains existing programs while adding support and resources in key areas, giving all students the opportunity to succeed and thrive in their educational journey.

On Tuesday, May 20, Ardsley residents will vote on:

  • The proposed 2025–2026 Ardsley School District budget
  • Two trustee seats on the Ardsley Board of Education

Budget details and voting information are available on the district website.

The School Budget Proposal at a Glance

The proposed 2025-2026 school budget mitigates the community’s tax burden while prioritizing educational spending that directly benefits students.

Key components include:

  • Budget Change: The proposed budget of $85,633,828 represents a 1.59% year-over-year increase.
  • Tax Levy / Rate: The proposed tax levy of $64,800,000 represents a 2.45% increase, which falls below the allowable cap of 4.16%. Current calculations indicate this would reduce the tax rate from $20.42 to $19.81 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
  • Staffing and Programs: The budget includes added support for special education, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and grade-level coordinators, plus new course offerings at Ardsley High School in business, math, science, music and social studies, and additional teacher professional development.
  • Board of Education Election: Voters will elect two trustees. The candidates are Bart Grachan and Hrishi Karthikeyan.

We thank the many community organizations and volunteers whose efforts enhance our students' education and lives throughout the year.

Viktoriya Paroder (President), Mitchell Kleinman (Vice President)
Vikas Agrawal, Hrishi Karthikeyan and Stella Urban (Board Trustees)
