Concord Road Cares About our Local Community

    Toy Drive 2019

The season of giving continues here at Concord Road Elementary School.

Starting on November 25th, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children aged 5 -12 for The Interfaith Caring Community. This is our 27th year helping this organization by collecting toys to be distributed at local sites in Westchester.  Last year we collected over 350 new toys.  If you wish to donate a toy, please send it in no later than December 13th.

Thank you for your support with this project as we continue to promote kindness and caring by trying to be responsive to our school community, our local community and our global community.

Please reach out to Stacey Buerkle, Jill Rogovic or Dan Sheridan if you have any questions.

  • Wednesday Early Dismissal Information

This is just a reminder that on Wednesdays we have early dismissal for students.  Dismissal times are as follows:

Kindergarten & 1st grade students primary building walkers are dismissed at 2:20pm.

    2nd, 3rd & 4th grade main building walkers are dismissed at 2:35pm.

    Buses depart by 2:50pm.

We ask that you be at your child's bus stop early and wait for your child. This will alleviate children being brought back to school.

  • Main Building Walker Dismissal

Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade main building walkers will be dismissed from the the main entrance doors.  1st and 2nd grade main building walkers will be dismissed from the second grade wing, which is to the left of the main entrance as you exit the building, close to the upper parking lot.

There are roped off lanes designated as parent waiting areas for each grade level.  Parents will form a line in their designated grade-level waiting area. As students exit the building, they will identify their adults. The adult should then leave the line to greet their child. If parents are picking up main building walker children from multiple grade levels, they should pick up their youngest child first and then proceed to the lineup area for their next oldest student. The exit locations will be in close proximity, which should result in an efficient and timely transition.
