Wellness Fair Presenters Needed!!
Each year our third and fourth graders eagerly anticipate the Concord Road Wellness Fair. This year’s Wellness Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. The theme will be 'Farmers Market', where we will be focusing on promoting sustainability within our community.
Professionals working various aspects of the fitness, health, medicine and /or emergency service fields come to speak. We would like to know, if you or someone you know, would be willing to volunteer as a presenter for our interactive wellness fair.
We are seeking presenters in the following disciplines:
- Social & Emotional Wellness
- Medical Health and Emergency Services
- Physical Fitness
- Culinary Health and Nutrition
Presentations may not involve the use of food products.
The morning begins with a breakfast for guest lecturers at 8:15 a.m., which is followed by an interactive display in the gymnasium for each professional. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 11:15 a.m.
Please contact Toni Tiso by February 10th if you would be willing to support us as a presenter. She can be reached at 231-0825 or email@example.com.
Wednesday Early Dismissal Information
This is just a reminder that on Wednesdays we have early dismissal for students. Dismissal times are as follows:
Kindergarten & 1st grade students primary building walkers are dismissed at 2:20pm.
2nd, 3rd & 4th grade main building walkers are dismissed at 2:35pm.
Buses depart by 2:50pm.
We ask that you be at your child's bus stop early and wait for your child. This will alleviate children being brought back to school.
Main Building Walker Dismissal
Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade main building walkers will be dismissed from the main entrance doors. 1st and 2nd grade main building walkers will be dismissed from the second grade wing, which is to the left of the main entrance as you exit the building, close to the upper parking lot.
There are roped off lanes designated as parent waiting areas for each grade level. Parents will form a line in their designated grade-level waiting area. As students exit the building, they will identify their adults. The adult should then leave the line to greet their child. If parents are picking up main building walker children from multiple grade levels, they should pick up their youngest child first and then proceed to the lineup area for their next oldest student. The exit locations will be in close proximity, which should result in an efficient and timely transition.
