The Ardsley School District Transportation Department's mission is to safely, efficiently and reliably provide transportation for our K-12 student passengers. Students attending Ardsley schools are eligible for busing at the following eligibility levels:

Concord Road Elementary School (grades K - 4), students must live more than .6 of a mile from the school

Ardsley Middle School (grades 5 - 8 ), students must live more than 1.0 mile from the school

Ardsley High School (grades 9 - 12), students must live more than 1.2 miles from the school

The District does not offer transportation for students in Pre-K. A student must be turning, or have turned age 5 by the end of December of their Kindergarten year to be eligible for transportation.

The Transportation Department uses the Versatrans My Stop™ app to allow families to locate their child's bus in real-time* once their route begins. The bus status updates approximately every 20-30 seconds as the bus travels along its scheduled route and adjusts the arrival time. Please note, your child must still be at their bus stop 5 minutes before their scheduled pick-up time to allow for device connectivity differences that may cause a delay in GPS updates.

  • Students should be at the bus stop 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled AM pick-up time. Buses are permitted to leave within a 5-minute window.
  • Afternoon arrival times are approximate and can vary from day-to-day based on school dismissal procedures and/or traffic conditions.
  • Please be aware there may be delays of up to 10-30 minutes in bus arrivals during the first weeks of school due to students adjusting to new bus routines.
  • Check the Transportation Portal frequently during the first few weeks of school, since adjustments to the schedule may need to be made due to the addition or removal of students from your route.

Inclement Weather Policies

When Ardsley UFSD schools are closed due to bad weather or hazardous driving conditions, no busing will be provided. If Ardsley schools have a weather-related delayed start or early dismissal, busing will be provided accordingly.

The District communicates general, emergency, and weather-related notifications through a mass notification system to send messages to families, faculty and staff through email, voice and SMS.

Contact information for families is obtained from the eSchoolData Parent Portal.

Frequently Asked Questions

non-public school transportation

We service and provide transportation for the following districts: Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington.

If you plan to send your student to a non-public school for the 2024-25 school year and would like to request school bus service, you must complete and apply no later than April 1, 2024. Families new to the district have 30 days from establishing residency to submit the electronic application. A new application must be submitted for each school year.

School Not Yet Confirmed? Deciding Between Schools?
If you have not received confirmation of your student’s acceptance at the school, you should still submit an application by the April 1 deadline to be approved for busing. If you are considering more than one school, you should submit a form for each school and notify the transportation office of your final decision.

Eligibility for Busing
To qualify for busing, you must have provided proof of residency to the Ardsley school district (or your home district), and you must reside no more than 15 miles from the selected school. You must also meet the minimum district mileage requirements for the district you reside in.
