Inclement Weather Policies
When Ardsley UFSD schools are closed due to bad weather or hazardous driving conditions, no busing will be provided. If Ardsley schools have a weather-related delayed start or early dismissal, busing will be provided accordingly.
The District communicates general, emergency, and weather-related notifications through a mass notification system to send messages to families, faculty and staff through email, voice and SMS.

We service and provide transportation for the following districts: Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington.
If you plan to send your student to a non-public school for the 2024-25 school year and would like to request school bus service, you must complete and apply no later than April 1, 2024. Families new to the district have 30 days from establishing residency to submit the electronic application. A new application must be submitted for each school year.
School Not Yet Confirmed? Deciding Between Schools?
If you have not received confirmation of your student’s acceptance at the school, you should still submit an application by the April 1 deadline to be approved for busing. If you are considering more than one school, you should submit a form for each school and notify the transportation office of your final decision.
Eligibility for Busing
To qualify for busing, you must have provided proof of residency to the Ardsley school district (or your home district), and you must reside no more than 15 miles from the selected school. You must also meet the minimum district mileage requirements for the district you reside in.
