I am thrilled to be a part of the Ardsley learning community as the Principal of Concord Road Elementary School!

I began my journey in the field of education twenty-one years ago as a dance educator in Greenwich, CT.  My early experiences with guiding children in this setting helped to shape my decision to pursue a deeper understanding of teaching and learning and sparked my interest in broadening my scope to the classroom.

After completing my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bank Street College of Education, I taught 4/5s for two years at Corlears School in Manhattan.  After a move closer to my childhood home, I transitioned to Roaring Brook School in Chappaqua.  I spent six years in the classroom there, teaching both Kindergarten and First Grade. Stemming from a desire to help teachers to help children, I then returned to Bank Street College of Education to complete my administrative degree and site-based building and district internship work as a participant in the Future School Leaders Academy program.

Following a three-year tenure as the assistant principal of Concord Road Elementary School,  I became the principal.  I am deeply dedicated to bringing our school mission of "fostering a respectful environment that nurtures creativity, encourages perseverance and inspires motivation to learn" to life through strong instructional leadership and collaboration with parents, teachers, and students.

I am happy to be starting my fifth year as the Assistant Principal at Concord Road Elementary school!

This year marks my 19th year in education.  I started teaching at P.S. 85 in the Bronx as a fifth-grade teacher and transitioned to an instructional coach for six years after graduating from the Principal’s Institute at Bank Street College.  In my last year at the NYC Department of Education, I was an assistant principal supervising second and fourth-grade students at P.S. 199 in the Bronx.  I am very passionate about teaching and learning and hope to inspire the faculty and school community to do their very best every single day. I look forward to continuing my relationships with our students and our school community.
