Ms. Lisa Swift
Lisa is a Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State. She received her Master of Art's degree from Teacher's College, Columbia University in Behavior Disorders. Lisa has worked as a special education teacher for 15 years. She has conducted workshops and research at national and international conferences on applied behavior analysis. In 2012, Lisa became a published author with her contribution to the book "Move with a Purpose" (2012), in which she focused on the importance of teaching daily living skills to individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
The high school class is a 9:1:3 self contained classroom that utilizes the principles of applied behavior analysis. The curriculum focuses on functional academics as well as life skills training and job skills training. Students participate in music, art therapy and physical education class weekly.
