Mrs. Michelle McStine, Reading Teacher
Welcome! As one of the reading specialists at Concord Road, my purpose is to design targeted interventions in phonological awareness, word study, reading comprehension, vocabulary development, spelling and fluency to help our students achieve literacy. I am fascinated by continued research occurring in the art and science of reading: from neurological studies discovering how our amazing brains learn to read, to the intriguing history behind English spelling! Please explore the recommended resources on my website page to explore each domain of reading development.
Please explore the resources provided about scientifically-based reading instruction, frequently asked questions about reading difficulties and dyslexia, as well as organizations to help connect parents and teachers to the endlessly intriguing world of reading acquisition.
