    Attention Sophomores: The Guidance Department is still conducting individual meetings with you this week to go over the first marking period and the school year so far.  The schedule of appointments will be posted in the hallways.  If your appointment conflicts with an exam, stay in your class and the Guidance Department will reschedule you. Please bring your laptop or computer that you use to the meeting with your counselor.

    The Spanish club is planning to have a board game session today in room 149 after 9th period.

    There will be a General S.H.A.R.E. Meeting after 9th on December 7th in room 205 for anyone interested. New members are welcome!

    The Pre-Med Club will be having a Holiday Bake Sale on Thursday to raise money for hospitalized kids. All proceeds will be used to purchase gifts on the kids’ wish list and be sent to them at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Please come buy delicious baked goods and add some donations so we can give these kids the happy holidays they deserve! 

    The Dance club is having its first meeting this week Thursday after 9th in room 149.

    More than Mozart is having their first seasonal concert, on Friday at 6:30pm in the auditorium! Entry is free, show up to listen to music of all types. All donations and money from concessions go to charity. 

    Ardsley Environmental Task Force will be joining an invasive species cleanup in Macy's Park on December 9th! The event will run from 10am-12pm and requires online registration. If you are interested, please click on the attached link in the daily announcements document, and we'll see you there!

    The Culture Club will be having a Breaking Breads Event next Tuesday after 9th period in Room 130. We will be celebrating the union of many cultures by celebrating different breads of the world! There will be challah, milk bread, and so much more. We hope to see you all there!

    Mountain Club is having a rare SATURDAY hike this Saturday at Anthony's Nose. The hike will start at 11:30. Please check Mountain Club's Google Classroom page for more info. Staff members who'd like to join us, please email or speak to Mr. Marcus.  Students: if you find the golden poster of Mountain Club superstar Minnie Boonchan, bring the poster to Mr. Marcus and redeem your Dunkin gift card prize. 

    The AHS Key Club & CRS Student Council are holding the 2023 Toy Drive and collecting new  and unwrapped toys for children ages 5-15 until Dec. 15th.  Toy Drive 2023 Amazon Wish List

    Late applications for the Seal of Biliteracy are still being accepted. Any HS World Language student (especially level 5/AP students) who is still interested in receiving the New York State Seal of Biliteracy needs to complete the application (click here to download the pdf) and turn it into Ms. Luis in the Principal’s office as soon as possible. (*Students who don’t complete the Seal requirements by May 30, 2024 will likely not receive their Seal medallion and certificate by Senior Awards Night (Tentative Date: Thursday, June 13, 2024).) Any students who have questions about the Seal process at AHS should re-read this Google Slides presentation.     Technology News

    Ardsley High School requires all students to have a device for daily use both in class and at home for learning. Students can bring their own device or request a school-issued Chromebook.   Please complete this form to let us know your intentions. In addition, all students must agree to the Chromebook Usage Agreement. 

    *All families are eligible to pay for insurance coverage for a school-issued Chromebook. To learn more about coverage for your student’s Chromebook refer to the link below (Worth Ave Group). 

    Once students receive their devices, families will be able to purchase or renew insurance. Any family who purchased insurance for a school-issued Chromebook last year, please note that it expired on 9/1 and you must renew it annually. Refer to the link below (Worth Ave Group) to purchase the insurance. Otherwise, you will be responsible for any damage that can result in a $150 - $300 charge.

    • Anyone needing assistance scheduling their session should contact the studio's Customer Care Department at (716) 512-6336 or customercare@legacystudios.com. Photos will take place in the high school's small gym.  Please read the information on the company's website regarding the formal and cap and gown photos they will take that day.  
    • Seniors who missed your casual photo sitting on 10/18 will have their photo taken by a student photographer rather than a studio photographer. Please reach out to Mrs. Rosen to schedule a sitting.  srosen@ardsleyschools.org.
    • Any senior who missed their sibling photoshoot should arrange a time with Mrs. Rosen to sit for the photo.  These are only printed in the yearbook; the photos aren't for sale

    Congratulations to AHS National Merit Semifinalists!

    Congratulations to Ardsley High School Semifinalists Sophie Barnett, Anisha Kumar, Joyce Lu, Anay Mody, Rosemary Stam, Alexandra Wang, and James Weber. These academically talented High School seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships! National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced in Spring 2022.

He is being recognized for both his academic achievements and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT. The College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program started thirty-eight years ago and honors some of the most talented Latinx students across the country.
