  • Tuesday, October 26, 2021 (B day)

Red Ribbon Week has been held annually during the last week of October commemorating the murder of undercover agent, Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, by drug traffickers in Mexico. Angered by his death as well as the damaging effects of drugs on our culture, the people of Camarena's hometown, Calexico, California, began wearing red ribbons in his honor. We can show our support for this event by wearing our red ribbons this week.

    1. On Wednesday, Lei Off Drugs. Wear a Hawaiian shirt and grab a lei when you walk into school!
    2. On Thursday, come to the courtyard during 5th and 6th periods to plant red and yellow tulips to “Plant the Promise”  to be drug-free!
    3. Then, on Friday, Scare off Drugs in your Halloween costume! Come to the gym during 5th and 6th periods in your most clever, funniest, scariest, and most original costumes to enter the contest.

There will be an important Drama Club meeting today after 9th period in room 201 for all current members. If you aren't able to attend, please email Eliot Adler or Mrs. Moleski.

Poetry Slam Club will meet Wednesday after 9th period in Ms. Baptiste's room (205).  New members are always welcome!  Come to write, share, or listen to original poetry!
