CRS Kindergartners Engaged in Main Street Math Activities

Kindergartners at CRS participated in Main Street Math, which was a morning of fun equations to solve shared between classrooms. Teachers transformed their classrooms to represent different community organizations and businesses, and students completed a math activity associated with each business.

They solved equations to add sprinkles to a donut in the bakery, played Roll & Record to add toppings to a pizza in the pizza parlor, sorted coins at the bank, created patterned bracelets at the toy store, played a math-ified version of Candy Land in the candy shop, sorted frozen treats at the ice cream shop, figured out combinations of 10 red and green apples at the market, and fed pets by building numbers with their "food."
